AN OAK AND INLAID BIBLE BOX ON STAND
Possibly Yorkshire, the box late 17th century, the stand late 19th century
The hinged sloped front with gouged edge enclosing a fitted interior with an arrangement of three small drawers, above a dog-tooth inlaid and foliate carved frieze with punched decoration, centred by a later lockplate and incised initials 'CD', below the later stand with conforming dog-tooth inlay and shelf undertier on block and baluster turned supports
