Delanoë a exposé au Salon de Paris de 1822 à 1838. En 1835, il est nommé professeur de dessin au Collège de Pontlevoy. Jusqu'en 1846, il y excerce cette fonction et exécute des fresques dans la chapelle de cet établissement.
