AN EDWARDIAN SILVER POSY HOLDER
MARK OF GEORGE UNITE, BIRMINGHAM, 1906
Part-fluted below pierced flowers and scrolls incorporating an inscribed oval cartouche, with spike and finger ring on 2 pendant chains, the base with cushion-shaped terminal pulling down to release 3 scroll-engraved spring-action supports, gilt interior; and a Victorian conical silver posy holder by Barnet Henry Joseph, Birmingham, 1874, applied with anthemions, wheat stalks, ivy and vine leaves, the top with 2 foliate-engraved sprung sections either side of the aperture, each surmounted by a curved leaf -- 4 in. (10 cm.) long (2)
