Davidson, 1817. 12° (title a little soiled, lower corner of D4 torn away with loss of one letter on verso and touching two others, clean tear through text at bottom of I1, small but heavy stain in outer margin of K4-6), early 20th-century morocco-backed boards. Provenance: William Leslie Christie, Stonehaven, 19 December 1916 (inscription on front free endpaper; bibliographical pencil note on front pastedown).

FIRST AND ONLY RECORDED EDITION of this rare work by James Christie "Gamekeeper", "to which is subjoined poems and songs, chiefly in the Buchan dialect". No sale recorded on ABPC since 1977 when a copy sold for £140. Schwerdt I, p. 112.
