Graduated on one side in inches and on the other side in centimetres, both ends fitted with a pull-out crayon or pencil; also a folding 12 inch ruler in 4 sections fitting into a silver case, maker's mark rubbed, London, 1906; an engine-turned silver corkscrew, by Jane Brownett, London, 1886, the cover engraved with monogrammed disc; a silver travelling inkwell, by Walter Thornhill, London, 1894, engraved with an earl's coronet above the initials C.S; a large cannon-handled propelling pencil, by Sampson Mordan, London, circa 1880, inscribed Xmas 1881, fully extended, 11½ in. (29 cm.) long; 2 other pencils & a small pen knife (7)
