The open triangular pediment with a key pattern cornice, with a later cartouche, above a pair of later bevelled glazed doors, each enclosing three adjustable shelves over two drawers, the lower section with a crossbanded sloping fall-front enclosing a fitted interior with drawers and pigeon-holes, the lower right drawer fitted with an ink well, above one long drawer and two short drawers over three graduated drawers, on bracket feet, some locks later, one drawer with a paper label printed 'F14', two interior drawer locks, the flap lock replaced, handles original
