Each depicting the interiors of a Roman sculpture gallery, two inscribed at the top, 'AERAE CHRISTI SAECULUM PRIMUM, the other two inscribed 'AERAE CHRISTI SAECULUM SECUNDUM, each inscribed at the bottom 'DEMONSTRATIO HISTORIAE ECCLESIASTICAE QUADRIPARTITAE COMPROBATAE MONUMENTIS PERTINENTIBUS AD FIDEM TEMPORUM ET GESTORUM', within a stiff-leaf carved parcel-gilt and ebonised moulded later frame

The illustrations of Imperial Rome's monuments, sculptures and coins formed part of a suite of six engravings designed by A. G. Barbazza to illustrate Francesco Bianchini's Demonstratio historiae ecclesiasticae... or The story of the Church divided in four parts and explained with images of holy and unholy monuments referred to in religion, 1752.
