Gandhara, 2nd/3rd century
Standing on a plinth carved with worshippers flanking a large flame, clad in a voluminous robe with cascading folds around his legs, his sandals finely decorated, further adorned with jeweled necklaces and armlets, his face with full lips, moustache and heavy-lidded eyes, his curling hair pulled into a topknot with beaded headdress and his face backed by an incised mandorla
