A WHITE JADE DOUBLE-BIRD-FORM VESSEL AND COVER
Carved as two addorsed birds, each head grasping a sprig of lingzhi in its mouth, their legs intertwined amidst leafy branches of lingzhi rising along both narrow sides, their wings formed from an archaistic scroll which gradually morphs into naturalistic feathers with finely incised details, the tall reticulated cover carved as a leafy cluster of lingzhi, the highly polished stone of even white tone with some russet veining
