A RARE SMALL PALE GREENISH-WHITE AND RUSSET JADE PIERCED OBLONG PLAQUE
LIAO/JIN DYNASTY, 10TH-13TH CENTURY
Well carved and pierced as a deer standing amidst lingzhi fungus and large-leafed trees while looking up at a crane in flight above, the back uncarved and recessed within a outer rim of conforming outline, the whitish stone with russet mottling
2½ in. (6.3 cm.) long, fitted box
