The couplets appearing on the current lot have been taken from Tang dynasty poems, and may be translated as follows:
The color of the dew reflects on the curtains
The fragrant wind is hiding the walls
Pomegranate
Returning the graces to the hunting gardens
May the emperor live for a thousand years
Peach blossom
The couplets on both dishes are followed by the same seal, yuan, which also appears on the base.
