This lantern almost certainly formed part of the 'Gothicisation' by the Norwich born architect William Wilkins (1778-1839) of King's College in 1824-28. Ten identical lanterns also from King's College, Cambridge, sold Christie's, South Kensington, 'Elements', 23 May 2007, lots 21-25.
