This model appears as a drawing in the 1874 catalogue of Andrew Handyside. Andrew Handyside aquired the firm in 1848, formerly owned by Weatherhead and Glover 1818-1843; thence Thomas Wright 1843-1848. He expanded the production to cover architectural, engineering and decorative wares such as garden vases and fountains.
