The box constructed of cloth and woven bamboo covered in brown lacquer, the wood cover decorated on the top with a branch of a chestnut tree and pine needles in gold, silver, brown and black lacquer

Ikeda Keishin was a follower of Ikeda Taishin (1825-1903) and worked in the tradition of Shibata Zeshin (1807-1891).
