The average age of the vines is 30 years and the planting density is 7,200 vines per hectare. The estate is owned by Louis Vialard, with help from his granddaughter, Marie and their manager, Laurent St Pasteur who was appointed in 2001. The soil is fine gravel over chalk and yields are maintained at around 45 to 55 hectolitres per hectare. The wine is fermented in a combination of wooden vats and stainless steel. The wine is then aged for approximately 18 to 20 months in French oak, with the proportion of new oak between 30 and 40 each year. Their second wine, Les Reflets du Château Cissac is aged for about 12 months in a combination of French and American oak. Annual production is approximately 220,000 bottles.
