The wines therefore have some similarities with those of the Médoc. The château is owned by Thierry Manoncourt, who inherited the estate in 1947 and managed by his son-in-law, Comte Eric d'Aramon. The 40 hectares of vines have an average age of 35 years with a planting density of around 6,000 vines per hectare. Fermentation takes place with natural yeasts in ten wooden and ten stainless steel vats. Pumpovers and pigeage are used to ensure good extraction. The wine is then aged in 100 new oak barrels for 18 to 20 months. The barrels are then re-used for the second wine called La Grange Neuve de Figeac which is made from younger vines. Annual production is about 10,000 cases.
