ParcelWineBuyers from within the EU: VAT payable … Read more CHATEAU POTENSAC Château Potensac is a 67 hectare property located between the villages of Blaignan and Ordonnac in the far north of the Médoc. The vines are planted on soils rich in alluvial gravel and clay. The vines which consist of 46 Cabernet Sauvignon, 36 Merlot, 16 Cabernet Franc and 2 Carmenère have an average age of around 30 years. The grapes are hand-harvested by the same team that picks at Léoville-Las-Cases and then vinified in a combination of temperature-controlled, concrete and stainless steel tanks. The wine is matured in small oak barrels (30 new) for about 15 months. The current owners are Jean-Hubert Delon and Geneviève d'Alton. Annual production is approximately 320,000 bottles and the second wine is called La Chapelle de Potensac
