The farm in the centre is partly similar to the temple of Vesta on the Forum Romanum. It occurs in almost identical form in the picture in the Rijksdienst Beeldende Kunst, The Hague, inv. no. NK1882 (E. Buysen, Tussen Fantasie en Werkelijkheid, 1993, p. 138, no. 6, fig. 6).
