Finely painted after Defregger with a gathering of Tyrolean peasants studying a manuscript prior to the Rebellion of 1809, a young alpine maiden and hound at left and a blacksmith and cannon at the far right
14½ x 20 3/8 in. (36.5 x 51.5 cm.), within a lacquer and gilt frame
