Contemporary French roan-backed boards, flat spine ruled, lettered and decorated in gilt, yellow edges (lightly worn).

TERRESTRIAL GORES. Two sets of 18 engraved half gores and two polar calottes, laid onto thin paper. Taken from a 10-inch globe (with loss to the gores); the cartouche JORDGLOBE utgrifven af C.AKRELL [1]864 Tilverkas af L.C.Hasselgren Stockholm. Tasmania, named, as island, part of Antarctic coast shown. Graduated meridian through Tenerife. (3)
