Engraved with two bands of diaperwork interspersed with flower-heads, a conforming band around the top of the cover, engraved on either side with crest of a farmer with scythe within a wreath, ivory handle and silver-mounted ivory finial, the latter resting on an engraved eight-pointed star motif
