MARK OF SAMUEL WHITFORD (I) OR SAMUEL WHITE (GRIMWADE 3804), LONDON, 1767
Fluted below a rope-work girdle and chased with three bands of shell and foliate motifs, one side inscribed SPANKER, the other side inscribed FLINT within a chased floral cartouche flanked by the inscribed date 1767, with ribbed loop handles -- 3 in. (7.6 cm.) diameter; Together with a miniature silver porringer, marks indistinct, circa 1700, half-fluted with wirework handles and a stamped band of thistle motifs, the base initialled IW -- 1¾ in. (4.5 cm.) diameter
