A 19th century Italian gold micromosaic brooch
The central circular boss design panel with mosaic depicting the Agnus Dei, Holy Lamb and Banner of the Resurrection, flanked by two small circular mosaics depicting the Greek letters IC and XC, for Jesus Christ, within crossover repeated flowerhead border and surmount, suspending triple pear-shaped drops each with stylised flowerheads, to circular panel tops, the central panel depicting three lillies, the other two the Greek letters Alpha and Omega, the reverse with engraved monogram, circa 1870
