Arabic manuscript on paper, 247ff. plus 4 fly-leaves, each folio with 15ll. of neat black naskh within text panels outlined in gold and polychrome, catchwords, gold rosette verse markers, sura headings in white on gold cartouches within panels of gold and polychrome floral illumination, the margins with gold and polychrome cartouches with a variety of different floral motifs marking different juz' and hizb, 'ashr markers throughout in gold naskh, the opening bifolio with gold and polychrome floral illumination framing the text, colophon signed Muhammad al-Wasfi and dated 1210, in original binding with flap, with floral stamped and tooled decoration, the doublures maroon with gilt lattice
