With rounded body rising from short foot through angled concave shoulder to everted rim, decorated in gilt and enamel with three equestrian scenes in gilt multi-lobed cartouches, around these a band of red-enamelled thick scrolling leafy vine on a ground of gilt and polychrome scrolls, the base signed 'E. Gallé à Nancy', with heavy gilt stand composed of a lower register of raised roundels containing floral palmettes and three feet with human head terminals
