A KASHAN LUSTRE-DECORATED TILE, CENTRAL IRAN, 13TH CENTURY
Of eight pointed stellar form, decorated in lustre over a tin glaze with inglaze cobalt blue and turquoise, with a central spray of large tri-lobed leaves with a pond below and pair of birds either side, a ground of scrolling cloudsenclosed by a border of cursivie calligraphy - 8in (20.2cm) diameter
