A PAIR OF PAINTED LACQUERED WOODEN DOORS, NORTH INDIA, LATE 18TH CENTURY
Each with strongly moulded out edge and cusped arched top, the middle with a pronounced centrepost carved with flowerheads, the black ground of each painted with a central figural scene depicting deities within a landscape, an arched panel above with vase of flowers and perching birds, the spandrels with floral designs, all against a red ground back with reinforced bands and upper steel hinge - overall 74 x 34in (188 x 87cm)
