Date cyphers for 1892, gilt crowned globe and impressed uppercase marks, shape no. 1986, both signed L.(ouis) Solon
Of slender shield shape, the tall trumpet neck decorated in coloured slip with panels of foliage above pendant bell-flowers, flanked by upright loop handles, both finely painted and hand-tooled in white slip with a nymph attended by a putto, one with the figures burdened by bows and arrows, the other with them porting masks and playing musical instruments, the reverse with emblematic devices respectively labeled 'War' and 'Play', on a short spreading foot
