CIRCA 1725, THE AUGSBURG DECORATION ALMOST CONTEMPORARY, THE MOUNT WITH INDISTINCT MARK PERHAPS EA FOR ELIAS ADAM
Decorated in the Seuter workshop with figures, birds and animals at various pursuits either side of a bridge between gilt borders edged with scroll and dot ornament, the domed cover with three vignettes of figures, the hinged mount engraved with flower, scroll and stiff-leaf ornament and with a bifurcated scroll thumbpiece, some rubbing to gilding, cover with extensive wear to vignettes
