The conforming scrolling a-symetrical foliate wrapped branches with foliate dished drip-pans and with circular vase-shaped moulded sockets, the detachable back-plate with a-symetrical raised foliate C-scrolls
Total 36 cm. (14.1 in.) high, backplate 29 cm. (11.3 in.) high, the branches 27 cm. (10.5 in.) high
marked on back-plates, one back-plate marked twice with provincial lion, townmark and date-letter

Lot Essay

An almost identical but later set of four by the same maker, of which two were made in 1759 and two in 1761, are preserved in the Municipal Museum in Arnhem.
A set of two by the same maker dated 1752 is preserved in the Treasury of St. Bavo's Cathedral in Haarlem.
