Oblong, the hinged cover enamelled with raised gilt ornament of a musical trophy within a herm, shell, foliage and strapwork cartouche, the base with further musical trophy, the sides with animals, flowers and foliage, all on a white ground, with a reeded silver-gilt mounted rim, marked on rim with decharge of Antione Leschaudel,
