THE PORCELAIN CIRCA 1720-25, THE AUGSBURG DECORATION ALMOST CONTEMPORARY, DREHER'S INCISED / TO TEABOWL
Decorated in the workshop of Johann Aufenwerth in purple, iron-red, yellow and gilding with coloured figures in Schwarzlot landscapes on silvered interlocking scroll supports, the teabowl with a continuous Ovidian scene of two pairs of figures, the interior with a bird perched on a branch, the saucer with a kneeling man grasping the arm of a classical female holding a staff, with silvered interlocking scroll and flowerhead borders and silver band rims, chipping to teabowl, some wear and flaking to silvering
