A GERMAN SILVER SCHRAUBTALER WITH TWO MAPS AND SIXTEEN HAND-COLOURED PRINTS
APPARENTLY UNMARKED, ONE MAP AND ONE PRINT SIGNED BY ABRAHAM REMSHARD, AUGSBURG, CIRCA 1732
Plain circular, the reverse and obverse with cast and chased scene commemorating the expulsion of the Salzburg Protestants and their emigration to Prussian Lithuania, each scene with an inscription above, unscrewing to reveal two maps, one of the Bishopric of Salzburg, the other of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, further containing various handcoloured prints depicting a scene from Protestant history, each numbered and captioned
1¾ in. (4.5 cm.) diam.
