the complete set of twelve etchings and aquatints in colors, on handmade Richard de Bas wove with the publisher's watermark, three plates in-texte, the others hors-texte, with title page and justification, signed in black ink on the justification by the artist and author, copy 33 from the edition of one hundred (there was also a deluxe edition of 30 in Roman numerals, and 20 hors commerce copies), the full sheets, loose (detached), each print with light-staining, occasional foxing and offsetting, within binding by Jean Duval of black morocco-backed purple silk-covered boards with beige paper collage in the form of a bird (with some staining and scuffing), the spine titled, within a purple silk slipcase (faded and stained, the spine split) 18 x 21½ in. (450 x 545 mm.)
