Lot Essay

According to the Archives of Montres Longines Francillon SA, the present watch was sold on 8 July 1946 to Danero in Montevideo, at their time their agent in Uruguay.

The "stop seconde" fly-back chronograph watch commonly destined for military purposes, examples in gold cases are particularly rare. The present watch furthermore stands out by its beautiful two-tone silvered dial and the excellent, close to mint overall condition.
