Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin confirming Tiffany & Co. as authorized Patek Philippe retailer. Furthermore delivered with white gold and wooden setting pin, wooden presentation box and outer packaging.

The present watch is in as good as new condition and is furthermore believed to be the only example of a reference 3940 in platinum retailed by Tiffany to appear in public to date.

Reference 3940 was launched in 1985 and in production until 2006. The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, p. 292-293.
