Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1955 and its subsequent sale on 6 September 1955. To the best of our knowledge, it has never been offered in public before.

Reference 2494 was in production from 1950 until the early 1960s. The particularity of the model is the unusual dial layout, featuring applied Arabic 3, 9 and 12 numbers above the printed baton hour markers.
