Treble-grip action fully engraved with lattice and scrollwork motif, much gold inlay to action, furniture and breech ends, some game scenes in relief, hinged floorplate, hand detachable locks, barrel selector switch, automatic safety, fully figured stock, gold inlay to side flats, ornate chequering at hand, rubber recoil pad, horn-tipped Deeley-pattern forend decorated similarly, the barrels with matt raised game rib.

The Makers have kindly confirmed that this gun was made for Lyon & Lyon, Calcutta, in 1912, with new barrels fitted in 1925.
