A 12-BORE SELF-OPENING SIDELOCK NON-EJECTOR GUN BY J. PURDEY & SONS, NO. 13261
Best quality engraving of unusual Purdey design, faint traces of colour hardening, inset cocking indicators, automatic safety, trigger-guard deformed slightly, figured stock much rubbed, later insertion of leather cheekpiece at comb, forend rubbed smooth, the Whitworth fluid-pressed steel barrels inscribed "2" at breech ends, sunk game rib.
Weight 6lb. 10oz., 14½in. stock, 29½in. barrels, chokes approx. cylinder & 5/8, 2½in. chambers, nitro proof
In an unusual and rare leather double leg of mutton case.
