"Complex nose of very ripe aromas and earth and this is already showing strong secondary elements. The flavors are big and rich, indeed even rustic with lots of structure. This does not appear to have the mid-palate depth for the fruit to outlast the structure and while its not necessary to drink up, I have my doubts as to whether it will ever harmonize and it's quite likely it will begin to dry out soon. Still it's quite tasty but the '90 Bonnes Mares clearly needs food to help deal with the tannins." BH, Nov 17, 2007
