The present painting is very similar to the painting owned by Van Kooten Kok, no. 26 in Catalogue collectie G.F.H. van Kooten Kok, The Hague 1929. It is not clear if this lot is another version or that Van Konijnenburg made some later changes. In 1915 he repeated the subject in a pencil drawing, now in the collection of Drents Museum, Assen, and in watercolour.
