AN EARLY VICTORIAN MOTHER-OF-PEARL VENEERED TEA CADDY
MID-19TH CENTURY
With haliotis shell banding, the interior with twin subsidiary covers and ivory banding, bone and ivory feet
5½ in. (14 cm.) high; 6½ in. (16.5 cm.) wide; 4½ in. (11.5 cm.) deep
Together with a group of Victorian mother-of-pearl veneered table boxes, comprising: another smaller tea caddy; three sewing cases; a needle box; a card case, the cover engraved with an owl; and a brass sewing case modelled as a tortoise, engraved 'Souvenir/de/Boulogne smm.' (8)
