A German Renaissance gilt-brass and gilt-copper striking short duration Tischuhr
17th Century
The main dial with silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, alarm disc to the centre (now fixed) and chiselled steel hand with arrow head tail, the lower strike dial centred by enamelled foliate engraving and cut steel hand (now disengaged from strike work), the twin line and fusee movement formerly with alarm (now lacking) and verge, balance and hogs hair escapement, now with replacement verge and pendulum, countwheel strike on the bell mounted inside the top cupola
