**A CORAL, GOLD AND DIAMOND TABLE CLOCK, BY ALBUQUERQUE
PROPERTY OF COUNT PALMIERI Born at the beginning of the 1960s into a distinguished and wealthy Italian family, Count Alarico Palmieri grew up surrounded by the beautiful art collection of his family in Rome, and the Tuscan countryside, where he would spend week-ends at the family estate during the hunting season. Although he moved to Switzerland in the 1970s, studying at Le Rosey and Lausanne University, the beauty of his early surroundings remained instilled in him and his main focus soon became art and antiques, both professionally and personally. With a long-standing appreciation for jewellery and Old Master paintings in particular, Palmieri opened an antiques gallery on the famous rue du Rhone in 1989; after the closing of the gallery in 1995, Palmieri returned to the business within a few years, specialising in jewellery and precious stones, and has been a haute joaillerie consultant for Bulgari since 2004. The pieces offered for sale here are from his family collection
