Designed as a stylised starfish, centering upon an oval-shaped cabochon star ruby, within a trapeze-shaped diamond surround, each pierced undulating arm set with single and brilliant-cut diamonds, to the baguette-cut diamond accents, mounted in platinum, circa 1965, 7.0 cm long, with Cartier maker's mark, in a Cartier red leather case

Accompanied by report no. 52412 dated 18 September 2008 from the SSEF Swiss Gemmological Institute stating that the ruby is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating
