Lot Essay

A vase with similar spirally gadrooned amethyst glass body, executed in the Imperial Glass Factory of St. Petersburg around 1830, in the State History Museum, Moscow, is illustrated in A. Gaydamak, Russian Empire, Moscow, 2000, p. 91.
