A LATE VICTORIAN OAK X-FRAME ARMCHAIR
CIRCA 1880, ATTRIBUTED TO MARSH, JONES & CRIBB, AFTER A DESIGN BY THOMAS HOPE
With curved tablet toprail with strigilated panel centred by a patera between turned reeded uprights surmounted by reeded egg finials, the reeded and fluted-block arms with paterae terminals, above a padded brown leather seat, on fluted X-frame supports joined by stretchers, with brass caps and castors
