Lot Essay

The Arts & Crafts designer Gordon Russell (d. 1980) designed this 'Miniature Gateleg Table in Oak' in 1925, later annotating the word 'Walnut' on the design. Examples, such as the present table, were also produced in yew, brown oak, and bog oak.
