(Lacking engraved portrait and titles in vol. 2, 7, 9, and leaf 6.6 in vol. 3, title in vol. 1 trimmed affecting some words, some repairs, some spotting and dampstaining.) 20th-century red quarter morocco reusing old boards. Provenance: Aleksei Maksimovich Petrov (blind-stamp) -- V.A. Khokhriakov (stamps in text of vol. 9) -- book ticket of a European collector in each volume.
THE FIRST COLLECTED EDITION OF PUSHKIN'S WORKS. 'Scarce' (Fekula). The first 8 volumes were planned and edited by Pushkin's friend V.A. Zhukovskii. The last three volumes were published by subscription by Il'ia Glazunov. Fekula 5041; Kilgour 890 (showing the later Zaikin imprint); Smirnov-Sokol'skii 44. (11)
