A GROUP OF EIGHT CYLINDRICAL AND BI-CONICAL JADE BEADS
comprising three cylindrical beads, one of yellowish-green jade with incised groove to the body, another of yellowish green tone with ivory white inclusions, the other completely altered in ivory white, each of the hollowed beads slightly tapering towards the top, all Neolithic Period; a large bi-conical bead, the jade of a mottled light green with darker inclusions, the aperture to the centre greatly decreasing in size to one end, Neolithic Period; three further bi-conical beads, of a heavily altered deep celadon green jade, each bead with a differing level of concaving to the centre, the smallest with slender incised groove panel to the body, Shang Dynasty (1100-771BC); and a small cylindrical bead of a completely altered ivory white, the hole to the centre of bi-conical form, Neolithic Period/early Shag Dynasty -- 2 7/8in. (7.2cm.) high max. (8)
